BNI 10 Minute Presentation
Right now I’m giving what’s called a 10 minute Presentation to my fellow members and vistors to the Lincoln BNI Tennyson Chapter, which meets once a week on a Friday morning.
The purpose of BNI is to provide the framework for members of a chapter to pass business to each other by way of referrals.
And the purpose of a 10 Minute Presentation, given by one member each week, is to help the other members understand more about the presenters business, so they can more easily refer business.
So right now I’m doing just that!

Hi,
ius my turn to do the 10 minute spot this Friday (12/9/08) at our Chapter, Cookson in South Shields, N.E. England.
I think the best formula is one of simplicity. Firstly introduce yourself and say your business name. Next, pick 3 things that you do, at the lowest level, and give about 2 minutes on each one. Its easy if you think of each one as a story and how you helped one customer do that one thing.
Repeat a different story for each of the three subjects, and add about 20-30 seconds after each story on what would make a good referral for you on that subject.
This will have used up about 8-9 minutes of your 10 minutes. use the extra minute to point out perhaps a free bit of advice in your subject area that your ’sales team’ can pass along to their contacts. This, again, could be in a story form - the more amusing/unusual the better.
hope this help

That’s an excellent plan Paul - I’ll pass it on to our chapter members.
Thanks again!
