Coast to Coast Walk Goes Mobile

With only just over a week to go, I thought it might be a good idea to sort out a mobile blogging solution for our Coast to Coast Walk.

I promised Clive I’d have a working solution setup both on his site and mine. Now the good news is I’ve cracked it. Unfortunately, although WordPress claim to have the ability to blog by email this is only true to a certain extent - you can send text via email to create a blog post, but it can’t cope with images. I blogged about this a while back.

The solution came in the form of the postie plugin. Installation didn’t go smoothly, but most of the wrinkles have been sorted, and those that are left don’t stop it working. Hopefully I’ll get the time before we leave to tweak it some more, we’ll see.

Expect to see several blog posts each day as we make our way from west to east coast. Getting quite excited now!
